Tiny 1960s Ladies' Girard-Perregaux Mechanical Watch with Gold-Plated

1960s ladies' Girard-Perregaux hand-wound watch with gold-plated case and bracelet and round silver dial. The very thin ornate floral bracelet is not branded but from the same decade. A very dainty and elegant vintage piece from the renowned Swiss watchmaker.

The bracelet length is slightly adjustable, thanks to a sliding clasp, for an overall length of 16,2 to 17,2cm.

(Will fit a wrist between 15-16,2cm maximum. Smaller wrists will have a slightly loose fit.)

Very good condition overall for its age, with a scratch-free glass. Please see the pictures.

The watch has been monitored and kept good time over the course of a day.

* As their name indicates, manual winding watches draw their energy from daily manual winding and are not battery operated. Wearing a hand-wound watch means appreciating rituals. They form their very own relationship with the person wearing them, which simply cannot be replaced by the electronic distance of a quartz movement. Mechanical watches have their own rules and the sound of a perfectly functioning movement has its own harmony. In addition, by avoiding the use of batteries, you can protect the environment and, with appropriate maintenance, often rely on a mechanical watch for decades.
