Vintage Rolex Precision Ladies Cocktail Watch 9ct Gold 1960s

Vintage Rolex Precision ladies cocktail watch in 9ct yellow gold, with a round case, silvered dial and slender tapered lugs finished with ring attachments. The dial carries applied gold baton markers, gold hands and the applied Rolex coronet.
The watch is fitted to a period 9ct gold double snake chain bracelet by Wristwear, closing with a fold-over clasp with three adjustment positions.
As was common practice for Rolex gold watches sold in Britain at the time, the Swiss movement and dial were supplied by Rolex, while the gold case was made in England by an approved case maker working for the brand, here B. H. Britton and Sons of Birmingham. The caseback is stamped Made for Rolex, with the B&S maker's mark and British 9 .375 gold hallmarks. The watch dates from the 1960s and comes in a soft green pouch, securely packed for shipping. An elegant example of the small Rolex cocktail watches that defined the decade.

Condition
Cleaned and in good working order. The date of the last service is unknown, and as with any vintage mechanical watch, a service may be needed at some point. Excellent visual condition, with no scratches on the crystal and very clean gold showing only minimal signs of wear. The dial, hands and movement are original to the watch. The bracelet is a period 9ct gold piece but was not originally fitted to this watch, and the crown is a later replacement, sitting very slightly askew.
